Tegan has experience working in non-government, private and school settings. Roles include: headspace National Youth Mental Health Foundation, NSW Department of Education and Communities (DEC) and Lifestart Early Childhood Intervention and School Age Services. Therapeutic approach: Through Tegan's experiences working with children, older children, adolescents, parents and carers, she has become passionate about holistic approaches, taking into account the whole person and their environment, when working therapeutically with each client. Tegan draws on Cognitive and Behavioural Therapeutic (CBT) approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Schema Therapy (ST) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), in order to assist people to create and accept change. She can assist with difficulties including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, interpersonal issues and stress. Having worked for many years with children and young people who have developmental disabilities, Tegan also uses a range of strengths -focused, person-centred therapy models that enable an individualised approach to psychological intervention, including functional, social and transition-focused goals. Tegan is known for using humour, games and activities to engage children, young people and adults in psychological intervention. She is warm and friendly, welcoming people from all age groups, backgrounds and abilities. Current session times:
